The ABA has taken massive leaps over the last few years to increase the professional standing of Breathwork and of our professional members. We now have a highly functioning organisational structure, with clear policies and procedures – it’s a strong container, a bright light and a firm presence standing in the essence of Breathwork. Part of this process has been to align our training standards, our ethical standards, our supervision requirements and continuing professional education requirements with similar mainstream modalities - From the President - Cindy Aulby The 2018 AGM was held at the Breathe Australia Conference at Hazeldell in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges. It was attended by the conference attendees and the others zoomed in via conferencing software. If you are an ABA member you would have received a copy of all of the reports from the committee members and been updated on the work of the subcommittees. Highlights for the year have been: - consolidation of polices and procedures. 13 ABA procedures (aka Green Books) were written by the subcommittee and ratified by the committee - updated and revised website launched by the website subcommittee - greater exposure on social media resulting in a 25% increase of followers due to the dedication to consistent quality posts by the communications subcommittee - integrity and complaints procedure finalised by the integrity subcommittee - membership remained steady in the mid 40's - website inquiries for Breathwork trainings increased - successful Breathe Australia Conference organised by the BAC subcommittee - 12 ABA member trainers had their Practitioner level trainings endorsed by the ABA The 2018 committee was re elected for 2019 with a new addition to the team of Liisa Halme: President – Cindy Aulby Secretary – Jennylee Taylor Treasurer – Margaret Schooneveldt Membership – Margaret Schooneveldt Committee Member – Liisa Halme Committee Member – John Stamoulos The new committee will meet face to face in February for the biannual Inspiration Planning Meeting. In support of teh committee, the following people have volunteered to join the subcommittees:
