Meet Margaret Schooneveldt
Treasurer & Membership Officer Margaret is an amazing addition to the ABA Committee after she "put up her hand" at the AGM in 2017 as a graduating Breathwork student. Margaret has done an amazing job of treasurer and this year also took on the role of membership after Robyn Fernance retired from the committee. Margaret's back round is in banking and she brings to the association a wealth of knowledge and simplicity to the role of treasurer. She has a no fuss attitude, a big heart and a love of Breathwork. Read on to find out a bit more about her. Where you you born? Greensborough Victoria. What is your favourite thing to do that is just for you? Reading – To lose myself in the pages of a really good book. Imagining the characters coming to life as if I know them and am able to share their story. Walking – Just being on my own with nature and enjoying my surroundings. What was the last book you read/are reading? Breaking the Habit of being yourself. Dr Joe Dispensa Are you an early bird or a night owl? Early Bird. I seem to get so much more done in the morning. I am always more focused. What do you love about Breathwork? Breathwork has provided me with a better understanding of where I come from and where I am heading. Through the breath I have learnt to be softer with myself and others. What do you love about working with your fellow committee members? The understanding that each and every one has for each other and their current circumstances. A sense of belonging and being in a caring community. Are you a mountains or beach person, or something else? Can’t separate the two. I love the mountains and the trees, but I love walking along the beach as the sun goes down listening to the waves and feeling the day quieten. What are you passionate about? My family and community. Being able to give back to others. |
