Synopsis
Breathwork practitioners work with (and live with) transpersonal consciousness. We find ourselves called to service, supported by the lineage we turn outwards to teach and work; and sometimes we find ourselves deeply embedded in mundane life. At times in our journey, we feel called to turn inwards again toward source and the breath that holds us.
Conferences like the BAC are opportunities for us to turn toward the lineage. Here we lean into community, nurture the soul and re-remember our own connected breath.
The lineage of CCB is transpersonal. It is not an entity. It doesn’t seek to serve itself but is a field of inspiration, wisdom, and knowing. It calls us to remember that the point of CCB is bringing transpersonal back to consciousness through truth, simplicity and love. To awaken to our ‘whole’ selves – not as biographical beings, but as ALL of who we are.
This presentation is about finding refuge in the lineage, in transpersonal consciousness and community.

My experiencing of the lineage via the human form was through my spiritual mentor, Bhakti Carisbrooke. Bhakti was one of the original teachers of modern CCB in Australia, from whom many teachers and practitioners in Australia were ‘born’. Bhakti passed over in March of 2020.
In this presentation I have the honour of acknowledging and reflecting on Bhakti’s life work. We are deeply grateful that she was born, and for her service to our community. In gratitude we will reflect on the lineage of breath and what we may take forward as individuals and as a community.
