Words are not enough to describe what happened around the Australian Breathwork Community at the 2016 Loving the Breath Conference. So many genuine smiles and open hearts. I had the privilege of working with the core BAC organising team of Cindy Aulby and Claire Belton who are both warm, real, hilariously funny and authentic people.
The quiet dedication of Robyn Fernance in the background looking after the finances supported by Ann Harrison and Alakh Analda doing other specific tasks was both a comfort and a necessity as Claire, Cindy and I really felt into the conference program and other logistics.
My personal journey was a great delight and surprise to me as I was triggered early during the weekend to look at and acknowledge some really powerful messages. Each opportunity to engage with this as the presenters shared their work took me a step further into developing into a whole and complete practitioner. ......... The power!
Also thankyou Tiah S'ring for putting the icing on the cake for me right at the end of the Closing Ceremony. Your words were such a formidable influence to my understanding of my process the whole weekend.
Thank you, thank you , thank you to everyone in the room. You all touched my heart in the most exquisite way.

The Breathe Australia Conference is an important and essential meeting place for our community. As a practitioner and trainer I love to attend as it helps me connect to the other Breathwork Practitioners in Australia. We can be too isolated, and my thoughts are that it goes against who we are not to meet consciously together. My feeling is that it is a privilege to be part of our community, in all its rawness as it continues to evolve. The Breathe Australia Conference is the balance of giving and receiving with each other. I enjoy that.

I've worked in Tasmania as a Breathwork practitioner for 20 years, with a minuscule community of Breathwork colleagues (sometimes a community of one!) I've loved my work and at times have felt quite isolated.
The first time I attended a conference I was blown away with the warmth and welcome of a national community and I have never again felt isolated! I've attended the Breathe Australia Conference every year since, and continue to benefit hugely by knowing other practitioners and trainers, by hearing about others work and discoveries, by breathing together, and connecting with new and now familiar friends.
The conference has been a fundamental part of my work, not only for the continuing learning but also having a heartful community I can call on throughout the year. I'm so grateful to those who've organised it over the years!

Shared experiences of Breathwork
"My experiences have been extremely positive and life changing. Breathwork has enabled me to face some deep personal issues and to resolve them - thus enriching the quality of my life".
"Breathwork helped me get in touch with, and to some extent to see, the false associations, of long suppressed feelings and beliefs. this helped me see that happiness was a possibility that I had almost given up on"
"I have had mostly personal experiences with Breathwork. I feel that the breath in all its forms is the one natural things we always have with us - it sustains us - and when we are in pain or in fear or worried or feeling anything negative really, then our breath changes - we tend to hold it, to shorten it, to keep is shallow and in doing so it starves the body and the brain and the flow of energy throughout the body. When I have been guided to breathe deeply and fully through my distress I have experienced it leaving out of me".
"My experience of Breathwork has changed my life enormously. Due to its profound influence and the new understandings that I have about myself I have been able to change my life for the better.
Due to being a Breathwork client and having such a profound experience from Breathwork, I undertook the training to be a Breathwork Practitioner and now work professionally to support others".
"It treats depression, anxiety, addictions, fatigue and help you find inner peace and purpose in life".
"I have supported people who have anxiety, depression, sleeping problems, emotional problems and grief. It is especially good for unresolved grief related to trauma."
